Homework:
Math: Finish the problem about letter t, x, and l, I made a copy for you to help. Show your work to prove if the formula 4s+1 works for any of the letters. If you check it for one and it doesn't work you can move on to the next letter. If you check it and it works be sure to test it a couple more times to be sure it works. Make sure to create t charts for each letter. If you don't have time to work on the formula you can stop.
Social Studies:
Make a compass rose using your neighborhood. Make your home the center of the compass rose and put other houses or other neighborhood locations in the open spaces on your worksheet. There is a copy of the paper in S.S. Map Skills if you need a new one. Please ask your parents to check your work to see if they agree.
Today in class:
In Math we extended our pattern problems. We are continuing work will finding patterns and creating rules.
In Language Arts we discussed bullying as a prep for the reading of our class novel The Revealers. We read the first chapter and will begin writing student responses to literature.
In Social Studies we worked more on directions and using a compass rose. We are applying this knowledge to our own neigborhoods.
In Science we watched a short video clip of a pineapple falling and applied the scientific method to the steps involved.
